Emma Yeuk Nam Wong

Emma is currently an undergraduate student studying Human Geography and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto. She studied piano with Ms. Chan, Sham Siu Wai Sylvia, and studied violin with Mr. Ng Ka Ming and Ms. Fung Hiu Kwan, attaining her ATCL Piano Performance diploma and ABRSM Grade 8 Violin with distinction.

Emma has always been passionate about music. During her school years in Munsang College, she was the first violinist in the school symphony orchestra and string orchestra, representing the school to participate in several music competitions such as Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows and Schools Creative Music Showcase. She was involved in the school piano quintet and participated in ensemble performances and competitions. For solo performance, she has won the First Prize with Honours in Piano Solo in Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

Emma has experience in teaching piano, violin, and as well as being a collaborative pianist. She believes that good exposure to music is essential for students to pique their interest in music but should not be forced. Therefore, she aims to bring new musical insights and create a fun learning environment in order to pass on valuable musical knowledge and help reveal each students’ potential.
